Carlson Livestock is a first-generation family-run cattle operation located in Pierce, Colorado. We enjoy all enterprises of the cattle industry from breeding and running cow/calf pairs to finishing feeder cattle for direct-to-consumer beef. We try to ensure all of our animals have the best life possible while in our care.

We lease and rent pasture ground in the local area for grazing. Observing the cows and their calves out on pasture is one of the most rewarding and natural experiences you’ll ever have, especially sharing it with your family. The other rewarding aspect of grazing our cattle is seeing the positive impact on the land. Because of our cattle, this land is being utilized converting the forage into protein that is fed as beef all across the region. Grazing this land properly transforms a dormant environment into a new living ecosystem by trimming down the grass as well as introducing nutrients from the cattle’s manure. We take a lot of pride in raising our cattle and try to deliver a product that reflects that. Whether it’s selling a healthy calf that will carry on to someone else’s ranch or direct-to-consumer beef, we hope the joy we get from these animals will be equally shared by the customer.
